My Writing Process

I´m have been away, overseas for a short time. I love travelling. All these trips always give me a lot to write about. If not about something new, then it helps me to freshen up my mind and keep on writing the stuff I already have been working at for such a long time. Travelling gives my mind, and therefore also my writing, some kind of freedom. I can sit with my pen and paper in my knees, for hours, just looking out through the window. Seeing all the trees, cities, people, dogs, walls, empty fields and cars passing by wakens up my fantasies. I make some short notes, dream a bit, and then I´ll make some more notes. And I start to ask myself questions: Is that dog homeless? What are the couple in that red car fighting about? What would the trees say, if they could speak?
___I´m also working well from home. Sitting here, in front of my computer I write at least 450 words a day in my book, then I write some in my blog, and maybe I´l write some more in my diary…. Or I´ll just do some mind mapping for the future. Have you ever been into the future? It´s so fantastic there!

But there is a difference between working from home and working while travelling. When I´m at home I care a lot more about the discipline, while travelling I really suck the pleasure of experiencing the magic of life (real or imagined) into my soul. By the way, is there any difference between the reality and our fantasies?  In my mind my experience transmits to words. Maybe I´m not able to see them immediately, maybe it will take some days, weeks or even months for them to become words enough understandable for me to make me write them down. But they always do – in the end. And that´s where it all starts all over again. When I´m travelling I kind of load my batteries, and when I´m at home I kind of do the hard work. Both give me a lot of pleasure.

How does your writing process look?
